Profhilo is a treatment with a high concentration of ultrapure hyaluronic acid. Unlike fillers, Profhilo does not fill the skin, but works from the inside out by deeply hydrating the skin and stimulating the production of elastin. A Profhilo treatment is ideally suited for boosting dull, dry and sagging skin. By stimulating collagen (firmness) and elastin (elasticity), the skin becomes visibly tighter, more supple and better hydrated.
The difference between Profhilo and a filler treatment
Profhilo is not the same as a traditional hyaluronic acid filler. Although it also contains hyaluronic acid and is injected, it works in a different way than fillers. - Profhilo body: specially developed for the treatment of sagging skin on the body. The concentration of hyaluronic acid is adapted for larger skin areas. Commonly treated areas are abdomen, arms and knees.

The steps of a Profhilo treatment
A Profhilo treatment follows a clear step-by-step plan:
During the consultation, we look at your skin and discuss whether Profhilo is the right choice for your needs. A combination with other (injectable) treatments is often also an option.
The skin is cleansed and, depending on the treatment area, injected with Profhilo at a number of specific and strategically chosen points. The treatment is quick and usually not painful.
The doctor clearly discusses all aftercare instructions. You will also receive these by mail after the appointment. You do not have to stay out of the sun. However, it is important to protect your face with an SPF50 when you go out in the sun.
There may be slight redness or swelling or a blue spot that will disappear within a few days. Blue spots may be camouflaged with makeup.
There is no need to avoid physical exertion or connective tissue massages. Exercise is allowed.
