How does the Dermamelan Intimate treatment work?
The Dermamelan Intimate treatment works on two levels:
- Regulation of pigment production: a blockage occurs in the pathway of all pathways that trigger on the pigment cell In order to prevent new pigmentation spots.
- Removal of superficial as well as deeper pigmentation spots: Deep stimulation of skin renewal also removes deeper spots from the skin.
The active ingredients in Dermamelan Intimate, in addition to reducing existing spots, prevent new flare-ups. It inhibits the overproduction of melanin, or pigment, in the skin. This significantly reduces the visibility of pigment spots but also prevents formation of new pigment spots.
This regulatory effect is unique and patronized in the Dermamelan treatment and not comparable to other treatments such as laser, peeling or microneedling. It makes the Dermamelan scientifically proven to be the most effective treatment, against even the deepest pigmentation spots.

Dermamelan Intimate: safe and effective treatment
The Dermamelan Intimate treatment consists of two phases, namely:
- Dermamelan treatment process : treatment starts with the professional treatment at the clinic. This involves treating either the armpits or the pubic area with one Dermamelan pack. The treatment consists of the Dermamelan Intimate peeling and the Dermamelan Intimate mask. This mask lasts for 2 hours and should be rinsed off in the shower at home, after which you apply a restorative and cooling mask.
- Dermamelan home course: after a minimum of two days, Dermamelan Intimate gel is started. This is a cream with ultra-light texture for rapid absorption, specially developed for application in the intimate areas. This gel should be applied every night before sleeping for a minimum of 3 months.

Course of the Dermamelan Intimate treatment
A Dermamelan Intimate treatment process at DokterEs follows these steps:
During the intake, the skin therapist analyzes your skin condition and Your wishes are discussed. Careful analysis is performed to determine if your pigmentation is suitable for the Dermamelan Intimate treatment and the process will be fully explained to you.
The Dermamelan Intimate treatment begins with an exfoliation specifically designed for these areas to prepare the skin for the Dermamelan Intimate mask and to give an initial boost and reduce your pigmentation.
Immediately after removing the peel, the Dermamelan Intimate mask is applied. Over this we apply a protected plastic film, so you can simply get dressed again. We do recommend that you wear loose-fitting clothing and possibly boxer shorts to avoid staining your clothes. The mask remains on for 2 hours and is removed by you at home under the shower. You will also be given a soothing mask to apply after showering for 15-20 minutes.
After 2 days, you begin a minimum 3-month course of Dermamelan Intimate gel, which is applied every evening.
The treatment is supervised by the skin therapist and, if necessary, the treatment plan is adjusted according to your skin's reaction and results.
Aftercare is crucial for good results. The home skin care protocol with the Dermamelan Intimate gel is a large part of the treatment and should be used consistently for best results.
Our skin therapist will clearly discuss with you how to apply the protocol and continue to guide you throughout the process. Often the desired results are achieved after the course is completed. Sometimes the gel needs to be applied a little longer. We always discuss together how to maintain the results achieved.

Vagina bleaching is suitable for anyone who is bothered by dark discoloration of the pubic area, groin, armpits, or skin around the anus. These discolorations are often caused by rubbing, shaving, hormonal influences or after laser hair removal, and occur in almost everyone - regardless of skin color. The treatment is particularly popular for people with medium to dark skin tones, in whom pigment accumulates more quickly. Skin discoloration can also occur after pregnancy or if ingrown hairs are present. Vagina bleaching is suitable for those who want to achieve a more even skin tone in a safe, science-based way. Discreet, effective and tailored to your skin type and needs.
In most cases, 1 treatment course of 3 months is sufficient for effective and long-lasting results. In some cases, the home course needs to be extended with another vial of Dermamelan Intimate gel for 3 months.
Despite Dermamelan Intimate being the most effective treatment against pigmentation spots in the intimate areas, new spots can always appear. Hyperpigmentation can involve various triggers, such as sun, hormonal aspects and medication. Sometimes we can eliminate these triggers, such as by being more consistent with sun exposure. Some triggers are permanent. It is therefore always advisable to continue to protect the skin from the sun and prevent irritation as much as possible, even after the Dermamelan Intimate treatment. If desired, the Dermaman Intimate can (again) remain part of the skin care routine. Our skin therapist will advise and support you in this.
A full Dermamelan Intimate treatment program costs €600.
The course consists of:
- A comprehensive initial consultation.
- The Dermamelan Intimate treatment, in which the Dermamelan mask is applied.
- Dermamelan Intimte home products for the first 3 months of the course, including the restorative Crystal Fiber mask immediately after treatment and the Dermamelan Intimate gel.
- All check-ups and counseling, both on-site and by phone, throughout the treatment period.
- Be aware that new blemishes may appear if you do return to unprotected sunbathing/under a tanning bed after treatment or start treatments after treatment that put you at risk for pigmentation (lasering, waxing, etc).
- After applying the mask, it must be left on for 2 hours. So please note that you will go home with the mask on. We recommend wearing loose-fitting clothes and boxer shorts to avoid staining lingerie/clothing.
- Prior to treatment, the area to be treated should be depilated. Do this 24-48 hours (shaving) or at least 1 week (waxing) before treatment and not right before the appointment, to avoid risks of irritation and skin damage.
- If you are considering laser hair removal in the same area, we recommend completing laser treatments first.
