What is sculptra?
Sculptra is a biostimulator based on poly-L-lactic acid. It stimulates the skin to produce its own collagen, gradually making the skin firmer, smoother and more resilient.
Unlike fillers, Sculptra does not work directly with volume, but rather improves the skin from the inside out. The result builds up over the months following treatment and therefore looks natural.
Who is the treatment suitable for?
A Sculptra treatment is suitable if you:

Course of a Sculptra treatment
Curious about how a treatment with Sculptra works at DokterEs? Here are the steps we go through with you:
During the intake and skin analysis, we discuss your needs, review your skin condition, and the cosmetic doctor assesses which treatment(s) are most appropriate for you. Together, a personalized treatment plan is drawn up.
Sculptra is injected with a fine cannula directly under the skin in the face and/or on the body such as the arms. The treatment takes an average of 30 minutes and is usually not considered painful.
Afterwards, the cosmetic doctor provides comprehensive advice on aftercare. After treatment, some slight swelling and some fluid retention may occur. For this, a firm massage according to the 5-5-5 principle should be applied at home (5 minutes, 5 times a day, 5 days).
The best results require an average of 1-3 treatments at 6-8 week intervals. This depends on the purpose of the treatment: preventive or regenerative.
Thereafter, a maintenance of 1 treatment per year is advised. The number of materials required (1 or 2 vials) per session depends on personal skin condition and wishes and will always be discussed in advance with the doctor.
