Vampire facelift: natural PRP treatment for the face
Stimulate your skin from within with the body's own growth factors. Ideal for a dull complexion, fine lines and a tired look.
What is a vampire facial (PRP facial)?
PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma: plasma from your own blood that is rich in platelets and growth factors. Those growth factors play an important role in tissue repair and renewal.
In a PRP treatment for the face, the doctor takes a small amount of blood, similar to a regular blood draw. This blood goes into a centrifuge, separating the red blood cells from the pudgy, golden yellow part: the PRP.
The purified PRP is then injected very precisely into the skin.
Treatment at DokterEs consists of two parts (during the same appointment). After numbing the skin with a numbing cream is applied:
- The PRP throughout the face via microneedling superficially inserted into the skin.
- In addition, PRP is left targeted under the eyes during the same treatment via injection or cannula.
In this way, such as improves the general skin condition as well as the often thin skin under the eyes.
The term vampire facelift or vampire facial comes primarily from the media and refers to working with one's own blood. At its core, however, it is a medical PRP treatment in which we carefully and precisely stimulate your skin to produce more collagen and elastin on its own. Not a sensation, but controlled, natural skin improvement.

Benefits of PRP for your skin
A PRP facial does not focus on "injecting something that is not the body's own," but on activating your own repair mechanisms. This suits those who choose subtle, lasting improvement.
Key Benefits:
The growth factors in the PRP stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. After a few weeks, you often see:
Improvement of skin structure
Less visible pores
A more even complexion and more "glow"
Where a filler adds volume, PRP mainly provides quality: your skin feels fuller, firmer and better hydrated, without looking "stuffed."
In particular, beginning lines and superficial wrinkles respond well to a PRP vampire facial. Consider:
Fine lines around the eyes
Small lines on the cheeks
Cracked skin under the eyes
Because the process is gradual, your facial expression remains completely natural. People often notice that you look rested and fresher, but not that you've "had something done."
A common question is whether PRP treatment under eyes or for eye bags makes sense. That is precisely where PRP is often a great option, as the skin here is thin and fragile.
PRP can help under the eyes with:
Fine lines
Thin, fragile skin
A tired look
Real fat bags often require a different approach, such as surgical correction or another treatment method. During the consultation, we will calmly look at which part of you a PRP treatment can improve eye bags, and where another treatment is more appropriate.
Many people choose PRP because it:
100% body's own is (no synthetics)
Very suitable is if you are prone to allergies
Matches a preference for "gentle rejuvenation," without major surgery
It is important to remain realistic, though: a PRP vampire facelift is not a replacement for a surgical facelift. It works more subtly, focusing on quality, firmness and freshness of the skin.

The treatment process: from consultation to aftercare
At DokterEs , peace of mind, safety and personalization are key. A PRP treatment proceeds in stages.
We begin with a comprehensive consultation. We discuss:
Your wishes: what bothers you, what exactly do you want to keep
Your medical history and any medications
Previous treatments or skin reactions
Then the doctor takes a close look at your skin: texture, thickness, elasticity, volume, as well as your facial expressions and facial proportions. Based on this, we honestly discuss whether a PRP treatment skin is the best choice for you, or whether a combination with, for example, skin boosters or Profhilo is a better fit.
Beforehand, you will receive clear instructions on medication, blood thinners, and lifestyle (see below). In the treatment room, we take our time to make you feel comfortable. If necessary, we apply a numbing cream for extra comfort.
A small amount of blood is drawn from you through a vein in the arm. This goes into a sterile tube and then into a centrifuge. After a few minutes, the Platelet Rich Plasma is separated and immediately ready for use.

Most people experience this as doable: sometimes slight pressure or small punctures, but usually well tolerated, especially with numbing cream.
After treatment, your skin can:
What are red
Feeling slightly swollen
Very mild stinging or warm to the touch
These are normal and usually subside within a few hours to a few days. Makeup and intense exercise are best postponed for a while (see aftercare).
With PRP, the final result occurs gradually. We often recommend:
A course of 3 treatments, approximately 4-6 weeks apart
Thereafter, 1 maintenance treatment every 6-12 months, depending on your skin and desires
During check-up appointments, we evaluate the effect together and adjust the plan as needed. Quietly, step by step.
Preparing for your vampire facelift
Proper preparation contributes to a safe course and beautiful results.
Consider the following guidelines (always in coordination with your doctor):
If you use blood thinners, always consult in advance. Sometimes it is necessary to take a temporary break, but never do so without medical advice.
Do not take painkillers such as ibuprofen or aspirin in the days before treatment unless medically necessary (due to blood-thinning effects). Paracetamol is allowed.
Be sure to hydrate well in the days beforehand: drink plenty of water, eat a varied diet.
Preferably come to the appointment without heavy makeup, especially on the areas to be treated.
Do you have an infection, fever or active rash (e.g., herpes)? Then we will postpone the treatment. Your safety and health always come first.
What shouldn't you do after a vampire facial?
After a PRP vampire facelift, the skin is temporarily more fragile. By carefully treating your skin for a few days, you reduce the risk of side effects and support recovery.
"Powerful body's own growth factors improve your skin from the inside out!"

Frequently asked questions about PRP treatment and vampire facelift
The exact PRP treatment cost and PRP treatment face price depend on the number of treatments in your course. A single treatment costs €425 euros. If you go for a course of for example 3 treatments then a reduced rate is charged.
A current overview can be found on the rates page. During the consultation you will receive a clear proposal, so you know exactly where you stand.
On average, we recommend:
A starter course of 3 PRP treatments, with 4-6 weeks in between
Thereafter, 1 maintenance treatment every 6-12 months
The effect builds slowly and remains visible for many people around 9-12 months. Lifestyle, sun exposure, skin type and age all play a role.
Most people experience a PRP treatment as doable. You feel small pricks or slight pressure, but no severe pain. With numbing cream, it often becomes even more comfortable. If you are very sensitive or tense, let us know and we will adjust the pace and approach.
Key areas of focus:
The results are subtle and gradual; it is not a quick "lifting" like surgery
Multiple sessions are required for optimal effect
The effect varies from person to person; not everyone reacts equally strongly
Bruising, swelling and redness may occur temporarily
We avoid sensationalist promises: a PRP vampire facelift can do a lot for skin quality and freshness, but does not replace surgery or solve severe volume loss.
You're never stuck with a set course of treatment. After the initial treatment, you decide how to proceed. For example, you can choose:
- Periodic maintenance
- A break to experience how long the effect lasts for you
- A switch to or combination with another form of skin improvement
So you stop at the time that feels right for you. The skin then ages naturally, without regressing to a worse starting point than before PRP treatment.
Yes, PRP is considered a safe treatment precisely because we work with your own blood plasma. Therefore, the risk of allergic reactions is very low. As with any treatment with injections, bruising, swelling or temporary sensitivity can occur. At DokterEs we work according to strict protocols for hygiene, use of materials and indication.
PRP can improve skin texture and stimulate blood flow. As a result, you often see a:
Smoother skin for superficial scars
Fresher, less drab appearance
For deeper scars, we sometimes combine PRP with other forms of skin improvement. You can read more about additional options on the skin improvement page.
Yes, regularly we combine a PRP treatment skin with, for example:
A subtle filler treatment for volume restoration
Other skin improvement treatments or skincare recommendations
We do this only if it suits your skin and expectations. Together we make a plan that still looks like your face, with a calm and natural result.
