What Is Scrotox and How Does It Work?
The appearance of the scrotum is partly determined by two muscles: the dartos, which causes the skin to contract, and the cremaster, which can pull the testicles upward.
Botulinum toxin temporarily reduces the activity of these muscles. As a result, the skin may contract less strongly and the scrotum may take on a more relaxed appearance.
A Scrotox treatment may help achieve:
- Smoother skin on the scrotum with fewer visible folds.
- A less tightly contracted scrotum.
- A slightly lower, more relaxed position of the testicles.
Scrotox does not enlarge the testicles or the penis. However, the testicles may appear larger due to their changed position. The final result varies from person to person.

How Does a Scrotox Treatment Work?
Before the treatment, the doctor will discuss your goals, medical history, and any plans to have children. They will also assess whether this treatment is safe and appropriate for you.
If, following a medical evaluation, a decision is made to proceed with treatment, the relevant muscles are treated with injections. The exact approach is tailored to the patient’s anatomy and the desired effect.

When Will You See Results?
The relaxing effect of botulinum toxin develops gradually. The limited available literature describes an effect within approximately 3 to 15 days.
The duration of the effects is estimated to be approximately 3 to 6 months. Because Scrotox has not yet been sufficiently studied, we cannot guarantee specific results or a fixed duration of effect.
Is Scrotox Safe?
Scrotox is an off-label use of botulinum toxin. This means that the drug is not officially approved for this specific cosmetic treatment.
In addition to the usual risks associated with injections, such as swelling, bruising, and infections, there are concerns about long-term safety.
The muscles of the scrotum play a role in regulating the temperature of the testicles, among other functions. There has not yet been sufficient research into whether the treatment affects sperm production and fertility.
